    Shah Rukh Khan Mourns The Passing Of Swades Co-Star Kishori Ballal, Says He’ll Miss How She Reprimanded Him For Smoking

    Swades actress Kishori Ballal passed away yesterday. The actress, who had been a popular face in Kannada cinema, had been a part of many Bollywood films too, including Swades, Lafangey Parindey and Aiyya. It has been reported that she had been suffering from age related health issues and had been admitted to a hospital in Bangalore. Swades director, Ashutosh Gowarikar, had tweeted about this heart-breaking news.

    On-screen son, Shah Rukh Khan, too reacted on the news. Sharing a picture from Swades, he recollected how she would often scold him for smoking. The actor wrote, “May her soul rest in peace. Kishori ‘Amma’ will be sorely missed. Especially how she used to reprimand me for smoking. May Allah look after her.” Here’s what he tweeted:

    Ashutosh Gowarikar had also shared the news on social media. He wrote, “HEARTBROKEN! Terribly sad about the passing away of #KishoriBallal ji!! Kishori ji... you will be remembered for your generously kind, warm and affable persona! And your unforgettable performance as #Kaveriamma in #Swades !! You will surely be missed!!” He also shared some pictures of her from the sets of Swades.

    Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar also tweeted about it. He wrote, “Veteran artist Kishori Ballal amma is no more, RIP”
