Shah Rukh Khan, Not Vicky Kaushal, Might Play The Lead In Land Of Lungi!

It had been reported already that Sajid Nadiadwala has acquired the rights for the Ajith starrer Veeram. The film will be directed by Farhad Samji and would be called Land Of Lungi. While the lead actor had not been signed, there were rumours that Vicky Kaushal is being considered for the part. In fact, he had even read the script and given his nod, however, he had not signed the dotted lines. Now, we get to hear something else.

Apparently, it is now being said that producer Sajid Nadiadwala is in talks with Shah Rukh Khan for Land Of Lungi. According to a source close to the production,

"Sajid and Shah Rukh had been discussing on making a film for quite some time. Their collaboration has been on the cards and now, it's mostly happening. Sajid has offered LOL (Land OF Lungi) to Shah Rukh Khan. It's a masala actioner that's a remake of Ajith starrer Veeram. The film will be directed by Farhad Samji."

But has the actor, who is on a break post Zero, given his nod to the film yet? The same source said,

 "He has not given a green signal to any project. It's true he is in talks for LOL but he has not taken a call on the same yet. He's reading all the scripts that are coming to him and will decide on his next project in a few months from now. He has watched Veeram and liked how the makers have spinned off the Hindi version. LOL is not only massy but is extremely funny and entertaining. As of now, SRK has liked the script."

Earlier, Akshay Kumar was also linked to the project and only after he decided to not do it was it offered to Vicky Kaushal. Well, we just hope that the film gets its leading man soon.
