Shah Rukh Khan well rested and back in business with some grand surprises up his sleeve for his fans in the form of his upcoming releases. Back to shooting Sidharth Anand’s Pathan which has fans excited for his comeback, reports suggest that the actor will move on to shooting Tamil filmmaker Atlee’s mega-budget actioner by the end of the year.

With Shah Rukh’s nod to the yet-untitled project which Atlee had first approached him for in 2019, the work on the project has officially underway with the filmmaker busy with pre-production in Chennai. According to a Mid-Day report, Shah Rukh and Karan Johar will jointly bankroll this film which will be Atlee’s debut in Bollywood.

The film will apparently see Shah Rukh in a double role where he’ll reportedly play a lawbreaker on one hand and an Indian intelligence agency officer on the other. The actor will sport two distinct looks for the project and the story will be set in motion with these two characters of the actor crossing paths.

What’s more, is that Shah Rukh plans to wrap up Pathan by September and announce Atlee’s project with Karan in October and begin shooting in December. Earlier plans were to get the film rolling in August but with the second wave to the pandemic the film will now take off at the end of the year.

While the Bollywood star keeps busy with these two big projects, he is also in talks with Rajkumar Hirani and Raj & DK for a collaboration.
