Shah Rukh Khan To Work With Rajkumar Hirani For A Romantic Film?

 Long back in 2003, it was once rumoured that Bollywood’s Baadshah, Shah Rukh Khan might team up with Munnabhai director Rajkumar Hirani. Well, it was for none other than the iconic Munnabhai MBBS itself, for which Hirani had been considering SRK. When that did not work out, it went straight to Sanjay Dutt and the rest is history. But, it looks like the time has finally come when SRK will be collaborating with Rajkumar Hirani.

If reports are to be believed, then Rajkummar Hirani is working on a love story and he is all set to cast SRK in it. While the official confirmations are still pending, this report has made fans super excited.

According to Mid Day, a source said,

 "People have been waiting for Shah Rukh to announce his next project after Zero. Shah Rukh and Hirani have been meeting since a few months to discuss this. It's almost finalised. Hirani will float his own banner and will not [work] with Vidhu Vinod Chopra, as has been the norm. It's a romantic drama with a strong emotional cord running through; it's right up SRK's alley."

SRK seems to be spending a lot of time reading the scripts that are coming to his way post the failure of his last films. While attending an event at the Beijing Film Festival, the actor, when asked about his upcoming project, said,

"At this point, I have not decided anything. I think I will take the decision for the next film that I am going to do by June. I am just listening to films and I want to spend some time just listening and working on them. So by June, I will be able to take a call on which film I want to do."

Rajkumar Hirani too had been maintaining a low profile after he was alleged of sexual harassment by one of his employees during the wake of the #MeToo movement. Hirani dismissed the allegations as false. The police too was unable to carry out any investigation due to lack of a formal police complaint. As of now, the case is no longer talked about and has been dismissed?

Will SRK-Rajkumar Hirani finally happen? Well, only time will tell.
