Shah Rukh Khan’s Next Film To Oscillate Between Canada And Punjab, To Be Based On A Serious Global Issue

It has been nearly two years since Shah Rukh Khan’s last released film Zero had hit the theatres, after its poor performance on the big screen Shah Rukh took a break from movies. And this has led to a flurry of speculations about his next venture on social media. People are waiting with bated breath for his next film.

A few days ago, it had been reported that Shah Rukh Khan will be part of a film directed by Rajkumar Hirani, and that it would be a social comedy on immigration. Talking about the film, a source disclosed to Mumbai Mirror that just like Hirani’s other films, this one too would revolve around a "serious, global issue and will be treated with a gentle humour.” And the source further informed that the story would oscillate between Canada and the Punjab province of India.

Shah Rukh Khan’s character has been further decoded by the source in the same Mumbai Mirror report, the source has been quoted as saying, "This guy is jovial, he’ll make you laugh and get emotional. Shah Rukh is growing his hair for the part."

Recently, it was while Shah Rukh was being photographed in his Mumbai home, people noticed his long hair. The source has further revealed to Mumbai Mirror that the film was slated to go on floors in the month of August but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the shoot had to be stalled and currently attention is being paid to the scripting part of it. The film also would require a long outdoor shoot abroad according to the same report and the team has to wait until the travel restrictions are lifted.
