Shah Rukh Khan’s Next To Be Inspired By Muzaffarpur Shelter Mass Abuse Case Of 2018? Deets Inside

The King of hearts and Bollywood’s Baadshah, Shah Rukh Khan has been away from the big screen for quite some time now. He was last seen in Aanand L. Rai’s romantic comedy drama Zero, alongside Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, two years ago and ever since then the audience has been waiting for him to announce his next project. While the mystery of his next film continues, we have some exciting news which will intrigue SRK fans.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Shah Rukh has finalized his next project as a producer. It will be based on the Muzaffarpur shelter mass abuse case of 2018 and is being directed by Pulkit, who is best known for his popular show Bose: Dead/Alive. The director has written the script and started working on the story after reading about the case. A source was quoted saying, “He has done extensive research for the film, which will have a journalist as the protagonist and is expected to roll in July. The cast will be finalised shortly.”

For the uninitiated, the Muzaffarpur case refers to a shelter home that was run by the NGO Sewa Sankalp Evam Vikas Samiti at Muzaffarpur, Bihar, where cases of sexual abuse, rape and torture were reported. It came to light when a social audit of shelters across Bihar was conducted by TISS.

Meanwhile, SRK will next be seen in a special cameo role in Ayan Mukerji’s much-awaited superhero film Brahmastra, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan in lead roles. He will reportedly play the role of a scientist.
