Shah Rukh Khan’s Wife Gauri Looks Back At His Journey; Reveals Suhana, Aryan And Abram’s Lockdown Routine

One of the biggest and most popular self-made superstars of the Hindi film industry, Shah Rukh Khan began his journey in the magical land of entertainment with the 1989 television show Fauji. He went on to feature in many other series such as Circus, Idiot, Dil Dariya and Doosra Keval before moving from Delhi to Mumbai to pursue a career in Bollywood. He made his debut in Deewana and the world knew that a star was born. SRK won the audiences over and proved his versatility with films like Main Hoon Na, Don, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, My Name Is Khan. After years of hard-work and struggle, he finally became Bollywood’s Baadshah.

Talking about his journey and struggles in a chat with NDTV, Shah Rukh’s wife Gauri Khan shared, “Frankly I did not realise even after his films released, even after he gave those blockbusters. Took a long, long time for it to sink in that he has arrived. And it was very organic, gradual. It wasn't like I woke up one fine day in this place and said 'Wow, he has arrived'. It wasn't like that. It was his struggle...we went through ups and downs. He has accomplished so much and done so well for himself.. all of us are enjoying his hard work today.”

Gauri also opened up about their lockdown routine and shared that initially they were scared to order from outside and hence SRK did most of the cooking. She stated, “During this lockdown, we were initially scared to even order any food from outside. So 'ghar ka khana' is made by Shah Rukh himself and we are enjoying it. He loves cooking and I enjoy eating.” Talking about how their children coped up with it all, the star wife shared that Suhana has been busy with her online school while Aryan, who just finished college, is taking a much-needed break by relaxing, watching movies and playing games. AbRam, on the other hand, is back to school. While it was initially hard for the kids, they are all coping well.
