    Shahid Kapoor had redefined stardom last year when he gave Bollywood the biggest blockbuster of the year with Kabir Singh. Fans are waiting for him to strike again at the box-office and hoping that the remake of Jersey turns just as big. Despite suffering from an injury during the shoot, there was no stopping the actor, who even celebrated his birthday on the sets of the film. But the pandemic hit and the shoot of the film came to a halt. But fret not the shoot is all set to resume soon and Shahid Kapoor would be brushing his skills at the field before that.

    Yes, shahid would soon be hitting the pitch to brush up his cricket skills. Talking to Mid Day, a source said, "About 15 days' work is pending. However, before he returns to face the camera, Shahid will have to brush up on his cricket skills as crucial sports scenes will be shot in this schedule. The actor is likely to begin training next week."

    The shoot would reportedly resume in Chandigarh from the end of this month. Pankaj Kapur, who would play Shahid's on-screen father as well, and leading lady Mrunal Thakur, would also join Shahid. Pankaj Kapur said, "Recently, I was asked whether I would be comfortable shooting and I gave my nod. The makers are working out the logistics."

    The film would be directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri.
