Shahid Kapoor Told Neelima Azim That He Wanted A Brother; Danced With Joy When Ishaan Khatter Was Born

Shahid Kapoor and his baby brother Ishaan Khatter won many hearts when they shared the couch for Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan. They were absolutely adorable and the protective way in which Shahid spoke about Ishaan was too cute! Well, their mother Neelima Azim has recently revealed that Shahid always looked after Ishaan like his own child even when they were younger and was actually a huge help when Ishaan was growing up.

In a chat with Pinkvilla, the veteran actress revealed, “It was Shahid who wanted me to have a child again. He was 14 and we (she and Rajesh Khatter) were well settled with our lives. I was happily working and the thought of having a baby again never crossed my mind. But Shahid specifically wanted a brother.” She reminisced how the doctor had first congratulated Shahid when Ishaan was born and had said, “Congratulations to Shahid. He's got his baby brother.” That’s not all! Shahid even did a ‘full mad dance’ because he was so happy with the news.

Neelima went on to share that Ishaan loves her because she’s his mother, but he also loves Shahid equally. She remembered, “I have several photos of them sitting and reading newspapers. So Shahid had a mini Shahid in his lap.”

Even today the two brothers take fun biking trips together and are pretty close to one another. They sure are setting pretty high sibling goals for their fans!
