In a recent interview, Shahid talked about the most unexpected reaction he got for Kabir Singh. Shahid said, “I was just going to the lift and one of the aunties called me. They were around ten of them. When I came to them, they all looked at me and said, ‘We loved the film’. It was so weird that it came at the time when I was reading so many things about the film.” No wonder, this incident left our dear ole’ Shahid Kapoor blushing.

Despite the phenomenal box-office success, Kabir Singh has been marred in many controversies. A certain section of critics and audience had accused the film of being misogynistic and celebrating toxic masculinity.
