Shahid Kapoor’s Mother Neelima Azim Reveals Her Initial Thoughts After Meeting Mira Rajput For The First Time

The very handsome Shahid Kapoor and the beautiful Mira Rajput are undoubtedly one of the most loved power couples of Tinsel Town. The lovebirds tied the nuptial knot on 7^th July 2015 in a private ceremony in Delhi and left fans stunned with their gorgeous fairytale pictures. Today, Mira and Shahid are happily married and proud parents of two adorable children, Misha and Zain Kapoor. While it is well-known that Shahid was smitten by Mira the first time he laid eyes on her, what was her first encounter with his mother Neelima Azim like?

Much to the delight of fans, the veteran actress opened up about the same in a recent chat with Pinkvilla and shared that Shahid was very shy in the beginning and wanted to see how she would react. She remembered, “So when I met her with her mother, I just felt she is so carefree, so sweet, young. Mujhe laga yeh toh ekdam bachchi hai, kitni pyaari si bholi si. But then, she took on the mantle to be the wife to a successful star and surprised all of us. The public persona that she has, the way she handles herself in front of everyone, she's done it so well. And most importantly, she has made Shahid so happy. And Ishaan and my family seems complete now.”

Neelima shared that all the members of her family are actors and are extremely dramatic. But Mira is the most ‘undramatic’ person she knows! She loves her like her own daughter and feels Mira brought the entire family together.

Mira and Shahid will be celebrating their 5^th anniversary this year. We wish the happy couple many more years of togetherness.
