Shaktimaan’s Three Film Franchise To Go On Floors In 2021; Mukesh Khanna Says It’s A Dream Come True

While actor Mukesh Khanna has worked in numerous television shows and films in his career of almost 40 years, Shaktimaan will always be the closest to our hearts. He was India’s first superhero and had a huge fan following. Well much to our delight, the actor will be reviving his character in Shaktimaan’s three film franchise which will be going on floors in the second half of 2021. That’s right! Get ready because Pandit Gangadhar Vidhyadhar Mayadhar Omkarnath Shastri aka Shaktimaan will soon shine on the big screen.

In a recent chat with IANS, the actor opened up about the same and said, “It is a dream come true for me. Shaktimaan was, is and will always be the first Indian superhero, and I also call him the 'super teacher'. I am happy that now we are coming with a bang.” He went on to add, “It is an evergreen, and an extremely contemporary story. In every decade and every century, darkness tries to prevail over light and truth. But ultimately, truth and positivity triumph over.”

Talking about the reason behind the franchise, the actor stated, “An entire generation has grown up watching and learning from Shaktimaan. I have been promising Shaktimaan fans for a while now that Shaktimaan 2.0 is coming up. So, I am more than happy, and feel extremely responsible towards fans who have literally grown up with me. I have always said 'Vijayee bhava' to everyone, but now I think I need to say the same to myself. May God be with me.”
