Shamas Siddiqui Opens Up About Rift With Brother Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Says ‘We Have Had Creative Differences Over My Film Bole Chudiyan’

It seems like actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui might be going higher up ahead in his professional life, but his personal life has been in a bit of turmoil. While last year, he had been dealing with a divorce paper being thrown his way by wife Aaliya, this year there seems to have been a rift with brother and Bole Chudiyan director Shamas Siddiqui. While he and Aaliya have sorted their differences and have beeb spending time together for the sake of their kids, his rift with Shamas has become apparent. Now, the director has opened up about it himself.

Talking to ETimes, Shamas agreed that there have been some difference lately between the brothers. He said, “We have had creative differences over my film 'Bole Chudiyan'.” On probing further, he added, “Those normal things which happen between a director and an actor.”

Fans began suspecting that all might not be well between the brothers when Shamas hit back at Nawaz on his comment about celebs going to Maldives. He had also revealed that Ayushmann Khurrana was his initial choice for Bole Chudiyan. Nawaz too had not been showing much interest about the film, and when asked about whether he liked the songs or not, Shamas replied, “Mujhe farak nahin padta, people are liking it. Nawaz tweeted two songs and did not tweet the third, though," and then added, "He wants the film to be very real and I want it to be commercial.”

We hope that the brothers sort out their differences soon.
