Shanaya Kapoor debuts with an ad, fans ask 'why so Ananya?'; see video

Shanaya Kapoor is all set for her big Bollywood debut. She had worked as an assistant director in Janhvi Kapoor starrer Gunjan Saxena and took the internet by storm with her photoshoot after being inducted into Dharma's talent management company. Now, she would soon appear in your screens as she has finished shooting for her first ad. What's more- Karan Johar and dad Sanjay Kapoor proudly shared the video.

In the video, Shanaya advertises a straightener that asks us to find perfection in imperfections. Captioning the video, Karan wrote, "Oh my god, @shanayakapoor02! Your hair looks gorgeous. But are you sure you have seen a bowl of spaghetti before? Thank you for this gem". See the video here:

Proud daddy Sanjay Kapoor wrote, "The shoot seems real fun @the_misfit_way! Love the way you devoured that bowl of pasta @shanayakapoor02. @maheepkapoor take notes." However, many were not amused. Some criticised Karan for the same thing again- promoting a star kid. But others pointed out how she seems to be a duplicate of Ananya Panday and even sounds the same. Comments ranged from 'Why she is so ananya' to 'Why do all of them sound the same??' Some felt that she is overacting even in an ad while some felt that she has so much privilege. However, many said she's gorgeous and are looking forward to her debut. What's your thought?
