Shashank Khaitan Warns Against Fake Casting Calls For Varun Dhawan's Shelved Mr. Lele: Do Not Get Scammed By Such Frauds

Filmmaker Shashank Khaitan has put out a message warning fans against fake casting calls for his shelved film Mr. Lele. He wrote on his Instagram stories that he has been getting messages from a fake casting agency asking for money for auditions of the film.

In his stories on Instagram Shahshank wrote, "I have received many messages and emails from actors that someone, going by the name of Nitesh Sharma Casting, is claiming to be a casting director for Dharma Productions and the film Mr Lele. He is asking for money for auditions and other favours.”

The filmmaker also reminded fans that the Varun Dhawan movie is no longer in works, “Please note this is false. No one by this name works for Dharma. We are not casting for Mr. Lele as the film is not happening at present."

Asking people not to believe or buy into such schemes from people who claim to be working for Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.

"Please be aware of all such people claiming to be from Dharma Productions. Mr Lele is not happening right now. We are not casting for it. Please do not get scammed by such frauds. Please take care. Be safe."

Mr. Lele was announced in 2019 with the makers even releasing a poster of the film featuring Varun Dhawan. The film for which even Kiara Advani was apparently approached for couldn’t materialize and was put on the backburner.

Earlier even Salman Khan had to pen a note warning fans against the fake casting calls being made in the name of Salman Khan Productions for the casting of next installment of his Tiger franchise.
