Shefali Jariwala Reveals Parag Couldn’t Understand Her Emotion For Wanting To Adopt A Child For A Long Time

One of the strongest and most popular wild card contestants of Bigg Boss season 13, Shefali Jariwala and her husband Parag Tyagi are planning to adopt a child. While the Kaanta Laga Girl had always found the thought of adoption beautiful, it was her time in the reality show that got her husband thinking about having a family. The news came to limelight when Shefali spoke about it to her friend and housemate Hindustani Bhau aka Vikas Jayaram Phatak.

Talking about the same to Bollywood Life, Shefali shared that she got to know about adoption when she was 10 or 12 years old, a very impressionable age, and she carried it since then. However, it was not the same case with her hubby Parag and it took to the couple some time to reach the same page. She shared, “He could not understand my emotion for a long time. It is something that has developed in me for years. But for such a big decision, it was crucial that he and I come on the same page. My time in the Bigg Boss 13 house got him thinking about having a family. His folks are very comfortable about it though.”

Adoption is not an easy process and takes years to complete formalities and paperwork. Opening up about the same, the actress stated, “This lockdown has hampered the matter. It takes years to complete the formalities. Younger kids get adopted much faster than older ones. I would like to adopt a baby girl. Boys find homes more easily. I feel a daughter's bond with her parents is something else. I have a beautiful bond with my dad and mum. I want to bring Laxmi home. Any way, boy or girl, the child will find its way to my home and heart.”

Shefali also shared that she looks up to Bollywood actress Sunny Leone for being a hands-on parent. She said, “They are so involved with Nisha despite having biological kids (Asher and Noah). Adoption is not that bad. It is not a taboo. I feel there are many kids who need loving and caring homes.”

We wish Shefali all the very best and are eagerly waiting to hear good news soon!
