Shehnaaz Gill opens up on love & attachment; talks about being called a ‘second lead actress’ in Honsla Rakh

After Sidharth Shukla’s untimely demise, a broken and shattered Shehnaaz Gill took a break from work and social media to come to terms with what had happened. The actress, who brightened up our social media feed with her posts on a regular basis, disappeared and left her fans worried. Much to our delight, Shehnaaz resumed work recently and joined the team of her film Honsla Rakh for promotions. Fans were over the moon with joy and wished her only the best.

In a recent media interaction, Shehnaaz opened up about her character. She shared that she sees 40% of herself in the role she has portrayed on screen. Bollywood Bubble quoted her saying, “Jab hum kisiko bhi pyaar karte hai, toh uske saath jo attachment hoti hai, toh woh attachment ke accordingly maine woh ratio nikali (When we love someone, the emotional attachment we share with the person, with that attachment, I accordingly calculated the ratio).” This quote will surely take fans back to the Bigg Boss 13 days, where Shehnaaz often spoke about her attachment to Sidharth.

Shehnaaz has played the role of a young mother in the comedy. She is happily married to Diljit Dosanjh until she finds out she is pregnant. The couple files for divorce and Shehnaaz makes it clear that Diljit should get full custody of their child. Sonam Bajwa then enters his life and he decides to give love a second chance. Talking about the same, Shehnaaz shared, “I don’t know why people say ‘she’s second lead actress, she is a model’. People don’t value us. However, according to me, there’s nothing such as first or second lead, every artist should be treated equally and I had to prove that with my work as I have plenty of bad experiences.”

She went on to add that Bigg Boss gave her that opportunity along with immense love from fans. Now she plans to maintain it for as long as she can. Well, seeing her popularity and how much the audience adores Shehnaaz, we don’t think she has anything to be worried about.
