Sherlyn Chopra Working On Launching Her Own OTT Platform After Being Fed Up Of Chasing Filmmakers For Work

Actress Sherlyn Chopra is ready to ride the OTT success wave and has revealed that for the past few months she’s been working on launching her own digital streaming platform. Even though the lockdown has proven to be in favour of home entertainment with channels like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Voot Select, Disney+ Hotstar, MX Player, Zee 5, ALT Balajaji booming during the times of the pandemic, Sherlyn might have a tough time competing.

Speaking about her project as an entrepreneur Sherlyn explained what led her to come up with the idea. She told IANS, “Initially when I used to approach filmmakers for work, they would ask me to meet them over late night dinner. I was so fed up of their stupid dinner proposals that I decided to be a producer and content creator as I believe in being self-sufficient. I strongly believe that one’s self-respect and dignity are non-negotiable. It is this belief that has helped me majorly to be the entrepreneur that I am today.”

“I have been working on my digital streaming platform since the last eight months to showcase excellent, high quality entertainment at a highly reasonable subscription fee,” Sherlyn added.

The actress spoke to aspiring talent when she said, "Focus your energy on being a content creator. Why beg for work when you can provide work opportunities?"
