Sherni: Vidya Balan To Resume Shoot For Her Upcoming Film After The Monsoons

Vidya Balan is gearing up for the release of Shakuntala Devi this month. She is also all geared up to shoot for her next film, Sherni. But looks like the film would not resume shoot anytime before the monsoon ends.

The shoot for Sherni had kickstarted back on March 3rd, which happens to be World Wildlife Day, but it was soon brought to a halt. The director of the film, Amit Masurkar said, "We can't shoot in the monsoon. We will take a call on the way forward in August. We don't want to endanger the lives of those associated with our film. So, it is best that we wait for now."

The film would see Vidya portray a forest officer and the film is about finding a resolution to man-animal conflict. Large portions of the shoot would be done in real locations and the forests of Madhya Pradesh have been chosen for the shoot. Given the time and the situation, shooting in the rain would turn even more problematic! Waiting for the right time seems to be the best option out!

Well, all we can say is that we are eagerly waiting for the film. Meanwhile, Vidya would return to our screen, this time into our computer screens, with Shakuntala Devi which is the biopic of the genius mathematician. It will release on Amazon Prime on 31st July.
