Shershaah: Karan Johar pens an emotional note thanking Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani and the entire team

When it was announced that Sidharth Malhotra and Karan Johar are reuniting for a biopic on Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Vikram Batra’s life, fans were quite excited. We all had high expectations from the film, but never could we have imagined Shershaah to turn out even better than what we had in mind. The film blew us away. Most of us knew the story of our nation’s hero, but it was beautifully brought to our screens by the team of Shershaah. Sidharth delivered his best performance till date whereas Kiara Advani tugged at our heartstrings as Dimple Cheema. Well, celebrating the success of the film today, Karan took to his social media handle to share a heartwarming message for the team.

Along with stills from the masterpiece, KJo wrote: “Behind every film, there is always an ‘army’ of people that make it possible for it to translate from paper to the screens. Starting with our main man @sidmalhotra, who recreated the character of a legend like no one could. I’m so proud of you Sid! Our gorgeous dimple @kiaraaliaadvani who played the strongest pillar of strength, making the nation cry without any words. Vishnu Varadhan, the captain of this ship who steered us to exemplary performances with each frame. @isandeepshrivastava, the one who brought the story to life once again with his spectacular writing.”

He went on to laud the supporting cast including actors like Shiv Panditt, Nikitin Dheer, the heroes behind the camera, partners and co-producers and Amazon Prime Video. Karan concluded: “Thank you one and all for making #Shershaah the film that it is today. Take a bow!”
