Shilpa Shetty pens an empowering note about ‘a woman determined to rise’ amid Raj Kundra’s arrest

In July this year, Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra was arrested due to alleged links to a porn racket in Mumbai. The actress, who is a judge on Super Dancer 4, skipped the shoot of the dance reality show that week citing ‘personal emergency’. Later it was revealed that Shilpa will be taking a break from shoot for the next couple of weeks. Well, much to the delight of fans, the beauty rejoined choreographer Geeta Kapur and filmmaker Anurag Basu at the judges’ panel on Tuesday this week, after one long month.

After the whole controversy regarding the porn scandal, Shilpa had refrained from sharing posts on social media. The only message that she had for her followers was that she will not comment on the subject. Shilpa had also requested her fans to respect the family’s privacy for her children’s sake. Well, today the actress took to her official handle to pen an empowering note. Along with gorgeous snaps of her OOTD for Super Dancer, Shilpa wrote: “There is no force more powerful than a woman determined to rise.” The comment section below has been showering with supportive messages from celebs and fans.

A clip from the upcoming episode went viral yesterday in which Shilpa shared powerful words after watching a performance inspired by Rani Laxmi Bai. She stated, “Main Jhansi ki Rani ke baare mein jab bhi sunti hu, mujhe aise lagta hai ke samaj ka chehra dikta hai. Kyun ki aaj bhi, aurat ko apne haq ke liye, apne pati ke baad, ladai ladni padti hai, apne asistva ke liye, apne bachcho ke liye. (Every time I hear about Jhansi Ki Rani, I feel like I can see the society's face because even today, women have to fight for their rights, after their husbands, fight for their entity, and for their children.)”

We wish the actress all the strength and courage required to overcome hurdles in these trying times.
