Shilpa Shetty To End Her 13-Year Long Sabbatical From Movies With Abhimanyu Dassani-Shirley Setia Starrer Nikamma

Abhimanyu Dassani and Shirley Setia starrer Nikaama is turning out to be a special film for more reasons than one. The film that will be marking the acting debut of singer and YouTube sensation Shirley Setia. After this good news, Shilpa Shetty has now confirmed she will be ending her 13 years long sabbatical from acting and will be seen in a key role in the film.

Shilpa’s role in the movie is still unknown but it will certainly be exciting to see her in a movie after her 2007 film Apne. Since then Shilpa has been seen in special roles including her cameo in Om Shanti Om and her song ‘Shut up and bounce’ in the Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham starrer Dostana.

Nikamma is being helmed by director Shabbir Khan who had also launched Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon in Heropanti. The director is happy to once again introduce new talent with his upcoming film and in an interview with an entertainment portal said, "I am always going to try and introduce new talent to the industry and I am excited to present Abhimanyu and Shirley. They are a breath of fresh air and remind me of the zest that Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon had in their debut.”

Nikamma is lined up for a 2020 release.
