Shivaleeka Oberoi Reveals Losing Films Due To Nepotism, Asks Why Isn't There Some Kindness

Amid the nepotism debate that has erupted on social media post Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, many actors have come out to share their stories with the media. We at Desimartini.com exclusively got in touch with actress Shivaleeka Oberoi who will be seen opposite Vidyut Jammwal in her next film Khuda Haafiz.

Shivaleeka is a newcomer and is trying to carve a niche for herself in the industry. She is just a film old. Her debut outing Yeh Saali Aashiqui was applauded by the critics but it failed to gather mass appreciation. During our interaction, she spoke at length about the nepotism storm that has been conjured up on social media of late. She revealed there were many times when she was asked to audition for a role and the role went to other actors because who had connections in the industry.

She tells us, “I don’t want to take names of the films but many such instances took place. Honestly speaking, I don’t have any negative thoughts about it. All that I feel is, there can be good nepotism as well. We have Ranbir Kapoor and he is really talented. We have outsiders who have been doing extremely well, I feel actors like Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Anu [Kapoor] who is there in Khuda Hafiz are inspirational.
