Many of us had been wondering when would Shweta Tiwari's daughter, Palak Tiwari, make her debut? It had earlier been said that she might team up with Taare Zameen Par actor Darsheel Safari in a film called Quikie, but it was later said that it wasn't happening. Well, if you had been waiting as well, we have a good news. She is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Rosie: The Saffron Chapter. What's more- she also shared the first look poster.

Palak would be playing the titular character in the film, which is said to be based on real-life events. Sharing the first look, Palak wrote, "Super excited to share the news of my debut in & as #Rosie! And here's my first poster! Thank you #PrernaVArora @vivekoberoi for the opportunity & @visalmisra for the guidance." Check out the poster here:

Vivek Oberoi, who is producing the film, also shared the news on his social media handle.

Talking about the film, Palak said, “It was actually for me, just another mundane lockdown day, and then out of nowhere, we get a call asking me to audition for a story that truly left me chilled to the bone, and infinitely curious. So, naturally, I was very excited to audition and understanding more of this character. I gave my audition and after a few days, Prerna (Arora) ma’am gave me the great news that they have picked me. I was ecstatic."

She also added that she is taking inspiration from Sadhna's performance in Woh Kaun Thi. She said, "Preparing for the character is going to be tricky, but I definitely intend to draw inspiration from all our classic heroines that lay the foundation of Bollywood as we know it today. They are the pillars of authenticity. Sadhna ji’s work in Woh Kaun This is definitely a close point of reference. Performances from that era, in general, are so immensely edifying. So, I shall surely be looking more into that.”

The horror thriller is said to be based on true events that took place in Gurgaon's Saffron BOP, where Rosie was an employee. The film will be directed by Vishaal Mishra and is expected to go on floors in September.
