After winning hearts with the much-loved web series Inside Edge, the very talented Siddhant Chaturvedi made his debut in Bollywood with Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy. Even with actors like Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead, Siddhant managed to shine in the film with his spectacular performance as rapper Shrikant Bhosle aka MC Sher. He left a deep impact on the audience and even bagged the awards for most promising actor and best supporting actor. While fans absolutely loved him, how did his family react on seeing him on the big screen?

In a chat with Filmfare, the actor revealed, “The film has been one of the best experiences we've had as a family. The first one was us watching the film for the very first time. And I could see my father in tears. I've never seen my dad like that. This was me seeing his softer side. He was so happy and proud at the Filmfare Awards. In fact, when we were watching the telecast of the awards on TV, we saw that he's in every frame. He was sitting in the second row and you see the camera panning on him so often. I was like 'kya footage mila hai'. He's there more than anyone.”

Much to the delight of fans, Siddhant currently has two interesting projects in his kitty. He will next be seen in Aditya Chopra’s upcoming crime comedy Bunty Aur Babli 2, a spiritual sequel of the 2005 film, alongside Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, and debutante Sharvari. He will also be collaborating with Deepika Padukone and Ananya Panday for Shakun Batra's next.
