Sidharth Malhotra feels people are taking him more seriously post Shershaah; opens up about wedding plans

The very handsome Sidharth Malhotra began his journey in Bollywood as an assistant director on the film My Name Is Khan. He went on to make his acting debut two years later with Student of the Year. In the past 9 years, Sidharth has done many films and played various characters on-screen. However, his performance in Shershaah emerged as his best till date! Sidharth perfectly fit the character of Param Vir Chakra-awardee Captain Vikram Batra and his chemistry with Kiara Advani was breathtaking.

In a recent chat with Hindustan Times, Sidharth revealed that he feels people have begun taking him more seriously after Shershaah. He explained, “I think what success changes is the sense of you as a performer. I dived right back into work as a performer, and confidence that a film’s team or director would have when I give suggestions, now it would have more weightage.” He went on to state that earlier if he gave a similar suggestion, many would contemplate whether it should be done or not. However, it’s different today because now they see that his instinct worked with a film which connected with the audiences.

The actor also opened up about his wedding plans. As we all know, he is rumored to be dating his Shershaah co-star Kiara. Sidharth shared, “Well, there are no plans as of now. I feel it is something that will take it’s course. That film production has not happened yet. I don’t have the story, script or cast ready for that. As and when it happen, or falls into my lap, I will let everyone else know.”
