    Sidharth Malhotra is all set for his next release, Marjaavaan. The actor will be seen playing a 70s style angry young man in this Milap Milan Zaveri’s out-an-out masala film. He is currently busy promoting the film alongside Tara Sutaria and in one of his recent interactions to a leading daily, the actor has revealed that he wasn’t paid too well in his initial days and that he had to model part-time to be able to pay the rent and sustain himself.

    Talking to Mumbai Mirror, Sidharth Malhotra revealed,

    “When I started out, it was all about early morning call time and sleepless nights, long days taking care of a 100 people in the background and lots of physical exertion. As an assistant director on My Name Is Khan, I was seeing stars like Shah Rukh and Kajol in person and finding out that they had family lives too. It was all very new and exciting, but exhausting too. But since I was a lowly assistant, I wasn’t paid too well and had to model part time to pay the rent. “

    It was then that he bagged the lead role in Student Of The Year and there was no turning back. He reveals that both his excitement and nervousness doubled. He was “totally in awe of the camera which I was facing instead of toiling behind the scenes. My introduction, my song, my close-up, there was so much happening...”
