Sidharth Malhotra To Have A Double Role In Thadam Remake, Will Play A Businessman And A Thief

Sidharth Malhotra is all set for a fulfilling 2020. The actor, who will be seen playing Captain Vikram Batra in his biopic, Shershah, will have yet another action film post Marjaavaan. We are talking about the Hindi remake of Thadam. And that’s not all, he would also be seen playing double role for the first time in his career in this film!

Yes, you read that right. The actor would be playing both a businessman and a thief in the film. A source close to the production had informed Mumbai Mirror, "Sidharth plays a double role for the first time in his career, a businessman and a small-time thief and gambler always looking to make a quick buck. The film is currently in prep and towards creating two distinct looks for him."

The original film, Arun Vijay’s Thadam, also had the protagonist in double role. The source said, “The story has plenty of thrills which lend themselves to some interesting chase sequences, something that appealed to Sid instantly, in addition to the challenge of playing a double role.”

The source also revealed that the story is actually based on a real life incident! Well, we are just excited to be able to see Sidharth donning many shades in the same film. The film would be directed by debutant Vardhan Ketkar and will go on floors in May. Apart from this, he will have Shershah releasing this year. He will be seen in Indra Kumar’s next alongside Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh and will also be doing another film with Milap Zaveri.
