Sidharth Malhotra To Play A RAW Agent In Ronnie Screwvala's Action Espionage Thriller; Deets Inside

The handsome and very talented Sidharth Malhotra is one of the busiest bees of Bollywood. He was last seen on the big screen in Milap Zaveri’s romantic action film Marjaavaan, alongside Tara Sutaria, Riteish Deshmukh and Rakul Preet Singh. He will now begin gearing up for the shooting of Thadam’s Hindi remake opposite Mrunal Thakur, which is tentatively titled Gumrah. Well, the actor has also reportedly been roped in to play a RAW agent in Ronnie Screwvala's next, an action espionage thriller.

A source close to the development told Pinvilla, “Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP has been planning an action film for sometime now. It's an espionage thriller which will be mounted on a big scale. They wanted a young actor to play the lead and offered it to Sidharth. He liked the script and agreed to be part of the project. The film is a well conceptualised spy thriller with several stunts and action sequences in it.” The source went on to add, “After Uri worked wonders for the banner, the team was working on this film's pre-production, which revolves around the India-Pakistan cross border relationship. Sidharth will play a RAW agent in Pakistan.”

The report further reveals that Sidharth is planning to begin work on Gumrah in November this year. Once he wraps up the project by January, he will begin shooting for the RSVP film in February 2021. Makers are now looking for a female lead opposite Sidharth for the project. Other than these two exciting projects, Sidharth will also shine on the big screen in Karan Johar’s Shershaah alongside rumored girlfriend Kiara Advani.
