Sidharth Malhotra to resume Thank God in first week of July; is elated to shoot again

The very handsome Sidharth Malhotra, who was last seen on the silver screen in the 2019 film Marjaavaan, began shooting for his next project in January this year. The slice of life comedy, titled Thank God, is being helmed by Indra Kumar and also stars Ajay Devgn, Manisha Koirala and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead. Sidharth and Rakul had wrapped up the first schedule while Ajay was to join them after completing Mayday. However the second schedule of Thank God, planned for April, had to be pushed due to the second wave of novel coronavirus.

Well, according to the latest report shared by Pinkvilla, the team is now all set to resume shoot of Thank God in the first week of July. The crew is currently busy with the prep work and Sidharth is quite happy to be back on the sets. The Student of the Year actor was quoted saying, “It has been a long wait and I have been looking forward to getting back to the hustle-bustle of film shoots. Elated to shoot again and see the happy & creative flow of energy that was truly missed.”

Other than Thank God, Sidharth has two other much awaited projects in the pipeline-- biographical war action drama film Shershaah, based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra, co-starring Kiara Advani, and spy thriller Mission Majnu opposite national crush Rashmika Mandanna.
