Sidharth Malhotra's Thadam Remake Might Get A Change Of Setting As Ban On Shoots Continues In Delhi

Like many other movies during the lockdown, Sidharth Malhotra starrer remake of the 2019 Tamil hit Thadam might be in for some major changes in the plot of the film due to the hurdles posed by the ongoing lockdown. The film that was originally set in Delhi might now see a change in setting as the makers plan on moving the film to a different state or city as the national capital has still not revoked the ban on shoots.

The Vardhan Ketka directed Hindi remake of Thadam was originally supposed to go on floors in May and now the makers Murad Khetani and Bhushan Kumar are planning for the shoot to begin in August.

A source quoted by Mid-Day says, “As per the original plan, the unit was to head to Delhi in May where the film would be shot in a start-to-finish schedule. The director was keen on shooting certain crucial sequences across real locations. Now, even as the state government has allowed the resumption of shoots, there has been no such development in the capital. So, the makers are considering other possible locations where they can set the story."

The decision over the new location, however, is being held back till early July, which is when makers will decide the new setting. Murad Khetani also revealed that the film was originally planned to release on November 23 which is not possible now.  There is also the issue of Sidharth’s dates as the actor was supposed to work on an Indra Kumar project before beginning Thadam remake and now all of it will have to reworked. The actor will be seen in a double role in this project.
