Sidharth Shukla Is Happy That People Got To Know The Real Him Through Bigg Boss 13; Calls OTT ‘Next Big Thing’

Sidharth Shukla began his journey in the entertainment industry as a model. After appearing in a few advertisements, he made his acting debut on television with Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na. A few years later he became a household name with Balika Vadhu and even made his Bollywood debut with Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. He won hearts with his characters and many started associating him with the roles he played on-screen. However, this changed when he participated in Bigg Boss 13. For the first time, his fans got a chance to meet the real Sidharth Shukla.

In a recent chat with ETimes, Sidharth opened up about how life changed after BB13 and shared, “It was a moment of my life where people got to know me because people always thought that they knew me, by judging me by the characters that I played. And I have always said in most of my interviews that I am slightly different from the characters. But then in Bigg Boss, they happened to see the real me and of course some people liked and some people didn't, which is absolutely alright. It wasn't path-breaking or different, the only thing was that people got to know the real me and I am happy about that.”

Sidharth is currently busy winning hearts as ‘angry young man’ Agastya Rao in ALTBalaji’s latest web series Broken But Beautiful 3. As an actor, the medium does not matter to Sidharth. However, he is all praises for the digital platform. He stated, “I feel OTT is the next big thing now. Also, I can see a lot of people getting on to it now especially the times we are in. Also, with OTT there is so much more that you can do in this space and it takes us all in.”
