Simi Garewal Stayed Silent When A 'Powerful' Person Tried To Destroy Her Career, Applauds Kangana For Her Bravery

Veteran Bollywood actress Simi Garewal has spoken in support of Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut applauding her for her bravery after her recent interview on Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Simi said that once some had tried to destroy her career too but she wasn’t so brave and kept quite.

In series of tweets after watching Kangana’s interview on Republic TV the vetera actress revealed that she was left depressed and distraught for what Sushant Singh Rajput had to endure. Simi was all for change in the current system in Bollywood and said like George Floyd’s death has led to an awkening in the US, Sushant’s death must lead to an awakening in Bollywood.

The Karz actress also wrote about her experience of a powerful person trying to destroy her career and wrote, “I applaud #KanganaRanaut who is braver & bolder than I am. Only I know how a 'powerful' person has viciously tried to destroy my career. I stayed silent. Because I am not so brave... “

In her interview, Kangana said that she would return her Padam Shri if any of her claims on Suhsant Singh Rajput’s death prove to be wrong. “They (Mumbai Police) summoned me, and I asked them too, that I’m in Manali, that you can send somebody to take my statement, but I have not received anything after that. I am telling you, if I have said anything, which I can’t testify, which I can’t prove, and which is not in public domain, I will return my Padma Shri,” Kangana told the channel. She added that everything’s said on the matter is in the public domain and if it is proven wrong she doesn’t deserve the honour.
