Sona Mohapatra Says Kangana Ranaut Too Oppresses Others, Takes Full Advantage Of The Toxic Star System

The nepotism debate in the film industry reignited after the sudden and unexplained demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. While the police investigates the matter, the celebrities stand divided as they debate the existence and extent of nepotism being practiced in Bollywood and whether Sushant too was a victim.

Kangana Ranaut who has been condemning the practice of nepotism for years now has vouched to bring the perpetrators to justice while calling out celebrities like Mahesh Bhatt, Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt, Salman Khan, Tapsee Pannu, Swara Bhasker and others.

Singer Sona Mohapatra has now opened up on the matter and said that no matter whether it’s an insider or outsider everyone is selfish, In her tweet she wrote, “Insider ho ya outsider. When it comes to this ‘category’,mostly it’s ‘I Me Myself’. Narcissistic,self-absorbed & zero concern for the 100 others who actually make a good film happen which gives only this ‘category’ disproportionate returns. The rest can keep slogging. Who cares.”

When asked by a user which side she on, Sona said that while she wants nepotism and incest to be wiped out she doesn’t have to take sides. Specifically calling out Kangana Ranaut the singer said that she is as much of a player in the game as anyone else.

“At the same time Kangana Ranaut takes full advantage of the toxic ‘star system’, oppressing others herself. She is just as much of a player of this game.”

A few old interviews featuring Kangana went viral where she stated that she’s okay with the privilege star kids enjoy. The videos were shared by actresses Taapsee Pannu and Swara Bhasker. Kangana’s team defended her saying the interview was 10 years old and when she wasn’t considered a threat and movie mafias didn’t care about her existence.
