Sonam Kapoor has spent a year in London away from her family in Bombay and Bollywood during the pandemic. The actress is often seen expressing how much she misses India but is happy in her oasis with her husband Anand Ahuja in their home in London.

The actress in a recent interview with a magazine reveals she had contracted Covid-19 in December last year. Weeks before she began to shoot for her film Blind in Scotland, Sonam had tested positive for the virus but was asymptomatic. The actress is now fully vaccinated.

The actress got talking about her life in London with Vogue and said that she enjoys the freedom in London. “I make my own food, clean my own space, shop for my own groceries,” Sonam tells the magazine. Sonam is happy to have found a like-minded partner in Anand and reveals, “This is the first year that we’ve spent every night together.”

“Usually, we travel so much. I’ve realized that we’re obsessed with each other and we have a lot of fun together,” she added.

However, despite being a world away from Mumbai, living in London hasn’t afforded the couple much anonymity. “We’re often recognized together because we’re constantly holding hands,” the actress said.
