Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise left the entire nation in a state of shock. He was reportedly under depression since the past few months and many celebs and fans have claimed that he was shut out of the industry by the self-appointed ‘gatekeepers of Bollywood’. Ever since the insiders vs outsiders debate came back to the limelight, many star kids have been facing the wrath of angry fans and trolls. Sonam Kapoor Ahuja is one such celebrity. The actress decided to take a stand and shared some of the hate messages that she has been receiving.

Sonam also penned a tweet on father’s day which read: “Today on Father’s Day id like to say one more thing, yes I’m my fathers daughter and yes I am here because of him and yes I’m privileged. That’s not an insult, my father has worked very hard to give me all of this. And it is my karma where I’m born and to whom I’m born. I’m proud to be his daughter.” She was brutally trolled and netizens soon began digging up her old tweets and clips from her appearance on Koffee with Karan. While some claimed that Sonam has always been a ‘bully’, others flooded social media with memes calling the actress ‘dumb’.

In one of her messages, Sonam revealed that she had to disable the comment section of her and her parents Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor’s social media posts to preserve their mental health. Her siblings Rhea Kapoor and Harshvardhan Kapoor also shared screenshots of some of the hate messages and schooled the trolls yesterday.
