Sonu Nigam Lashes Out At Ministry Of Labour For Sharing A Meme On Deepika Padukone After Her Name Appears In Drug Probe

Deepika Padukone’s name cropping up in the ongoing drug probe associated with actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death was a big shocker for many. The actress has been named and shamed on social media relentlessly since the NCB summoned her for questioning but the Ministry of Labour joining the trolls took the matter to an entirely different level.

The Ministry was called out by many for resharing a tweet from a parody account of singer Sonu Nigam who has now lashed out at the Ministry for first not even aiming at verifying if it was his Twitter account which went by the name of @OfficialSonu. Sharing a video on Instagram, Sonu clarified he is not on Twitter and then shamed them for sharing meme on Deepika which read, "Repeat after me - D for Depression, D for Drugs, D for Deepika."

The singer also said that matter started with the investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death has now reached a ridiculous level.

Deepika was summoned by the NCB for questioning after her chats with manager Karishma Prakash on WhatsApp were discovered by the central agency. The actress was questioned for over 5 hours and her phone was also seized for forensic examination.
