Sonu Nigam Opens Up About Music Mafia; Believes Kangana Ranaut’s Claims About Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt

One of the most hard-working and exceptionally talented actors of Bollywood, Sushant Singh Rajput left his fans, family and the entire film fraternity heartbroken when he breathed his last. His untimely demise not only shocked the nation but also sparked a parallel controversy bringing nepotism and the ‘insiders vs outsiders’ debate back to the limelight. The Indian entertainment industry now stands divided on the topic. While star kids are facing the wrath of trolls, ‘outsiders’ who do not belong to filmy backgrounds are coming out with their own struggle stories.

Singer Sonu Nigam recently opened up about the same in a chat with Times Now and admitted that power play and nepotism do exist in the industry. He shared, “I am not from the acting industry. People who are from the acting industry are doing perhaps what is needed - detoxifying. There is a mafia, I don’t know how big it is in the film industry because I don’t really deal with them.” The singer went on to add that there is a music mafia in the film industry which is way more severe than the film mafia.

Sonu also opened up about actress Kangana Ranaut’s claims about Mahesh Bhatt throwing a slipper at her on the set of their film. He stated that if she said a slipper was hurled at her, he believes it must have really happened. Sonu went on to add, “The people who could be wrong for her may mean nothing to me. I have probably had no experiences, even though I have been working for them for last 25-30 years, but I might have none such experiences for those people. But if she is saying that they have done something to her which is as ugly as this, I choose to believe her because I don’t think people are so crazy that they will make up stories like that.”
