    Sonu Sood’s humanitarian efforts in the eye of the storm called 2020 have not only been noticed and appreciated by all but the actor has become a messiah for the underprivileged in dark phase of the covid-19 induced lockdown. The actor who has been working relentlessly towards ensuring the welfare of stranded migrant workers has now according to reports mortgaged eight of his properties in Juhu, Mumbai to raise Rs. 10 crores for funding his humanitarian work.

    According to a report on Money Control, Sonu has put on mortgage two shops and 6 flats in a CGHS, located in Shiv Nagar along AB Road in Juhu. The actor signed an agreement with a bank on September 15 and it was registered on November 24.


    According to documents accessed by the portal, Sonu has paid a registration fee of Rs. 5 lakhs to generate a loan of Rs. 10 crores against these properties which are jointly owned by him and his wife Sonali.

    Sonu Sood stepped in to help the migrant workers return home soon after a nationwide lockdown was announced in March 2020 owning to the Covid-19 pandemic raging on in the world. The actor arranged buses and charter planes to ensure that the migrants don’t have to walk all the way home earning praises and respect of all.

    He continued his humanitarian efforts to help those in need even once the lockdown was lifted and has be feeding the nation’s poor and also ensuring help the front line warriors donating PPE kits and face shields, while also offering free accommodation for quarantine for these people at his hotels.
