Sonu Sood Reveals He Initially Thought Reports Of Sushant’s Demise Were Fake; Opens Up About Outsider Vs Insider Debate

Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise came as a huge shock for the entire nation. While fans and family were devastated, the film fraternity was heartbroken after losing yet another gem of an artist. There are still many out there who are trying their best but are unable to come to terms with what happened. Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, who knew Sushant personally, recently revealed that he thought reports of the Dil Bechara star’s demise were false.

Sharing his initial reaction to reports of Sushant’s demise on India Today e-Mind Rocks 2020, Sonu said, “The news of Sushant Singh Rajput demise was just unreal. I couldn't believe it when I heard it, I thought it was fake, then I made a few calls and spoke to people who confirmed it.” Talking about their equation, the Dabangg actor stated, “Sushant and I used to work out in the same gym, I have known him since his television days, and I can tell you that he was a very hardworking boy.”

The Simmba actor also shared his take on the outsider vs insider debate, which came back to the limelight after Sushant’s demise. He stated that the pressures are real because there are thousands of people who come to the city looking for work every day, but there are very few who get their big break. Sonu, who himself does not belong to a filmy family, shared that an outsider will always remain an outsider and the only message that he has for such individuals is to come only if they have nerves of steel and don't expect miracles to happen. He went on to add that a star kid does have an easier access.

Sonu began his journey in Indian cinema with the South industry and went on to win hearts with his performances in films such as Shaheed-E-Azam, Yuva and Aashiq Banaya Aapne. Today, he is a popular celebrity who is adored by the audience.
