Remember when Amitabh Bachchan and Boman Irani shared the screen in the 2005 film Waqt? They won hearts with their chemistry even though they had very few scenes together. Well much to our delight, the two extremely talented and adored actors are all set to reunite on the big screen in Sooraj Barjatya’s next directorial. This time Big B and Boman will be play the role of two friends and the film will focus solely on their bond.
In a report shared by Pinkvilla, a source shared that the filmmaker’s stories are always relatable. While Salman Khan starrer Maine Pyar Kiya became a quintessential love story for the 90s, Hum Aapke Hai Kaun and Hum Saath Saath Hai focused on families and drama. Well this time Barjatya’s film will see friendship in the forefront. Now that sounds pretty cool, doesn’t it? Well this project is expected to go on floors in February, right after Big B finishes Mayday.

The source was quoted saying, “It’s a simple story of friendship with the right dose of emotions and slice of life elements. While the emotional crux will be as strong as any other Sooraj Barjatya film, the story is unlike anything he has made in the past. After exploring the simplicity and complexities of families, he is now bringing a heartfelt tale of bond between two friends in their older days.”
