If you’re a fan of Rohit Shetty’s cop universe, today is a big for you with the Sooryavanshi trailer dropping in. After Ajay Devgn’s Singham and Ranveer Singh’s Simmba the expectations are an all time high with Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi especially since the actor specializes in the action genre and is returning to it after years.

Rohit Shetty no doubt is the best filmmaker to collaborate on a masala entertainer and the combination will be something to watch out for starting with this four minutes long trailer. Speaking to Bombay Times ahead to the trailer’s release, Akshay said he was excited to get back to commercial action dramas. The actor who has been giving back to back 200 crores hits said that they have ensured to perform 90% of all the action in the film without the help of VFX.

Akshay is also happy that he was able to pull off his stunts and action scenes with the same agility and focus at 52 as he did in his 20’s and 30’s. The publication quoted the actor saying, “Honestly, I enjoy performing stunts and it makes me happy to be able to pull it off without the use of computer graphics. When you see the trailer today, you will realise that I’ve performed the kind of stunts that I used to do when I was in my late 20s and early 30s. I’ve used the techniques that I had learnt early on in my life. For instance, we have performed a chopper stunt, which I had first attempted when I was 28 years old. I’m glad that I could do it all over again at 52, with the same focus and agility.”

The actor also spoke about his Sooryavanshi co-star Katrina Kaif and said that working with her after over a decade was quite different and also complimented her for her improved Hindi.

Akshay will be joined by both Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh at the trailer launch of Sooryavanshi. The film is all set to release in theatres on 24 March, 2020.
