Sooryavanshi: Akshay Kumar Starrer To Not Release On 2nd April, Makers To Announce Date Later

When is Sooryavanshi releasing? This has been a question that has been running across the minds of the audiences for so long. Reports had been doing the rounds that the film would hit the theatres on the 2^nd of April, only in single theatres, but even now, there is no promotion for the film which makes it hard to believe that it might happen. Looks like the film has been pushed for a later date.

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, “The makers of Sooryavanshi, including Akshay Kumar and Rohit Shetty, have jointly decided that the film should not release on April 2. The cases are increasing not just in Maharashtra now but also in other places of India. Sooryavanshi is a big-budget film and it won’t be feasible to release at a time when night curfew will be imposed in certain parts of the country.”

In fact, trade sources revealed that a meeting would happen today with the stakeholders today where all the prospect would be discussed. An expert said, “A film like this would need a one-month window for marketing and when that didn’t happen last week, we realized that Sooryavanshi is moving ahead. Let’s see which date they come up with now for its release. But it’s sure to have a domino effect as many films have already been scheduled for release.”

We wonder if it is because of the resurgence of COVID or whether it is because of the negotiation with the multiplex chains. But we hope that the film releases soon, because we are eagerly waiting for it.
