Sooryavanshi: Makers To Take A Final Call On The Fate Of Akshay Kumar’s Cop Drama In June

Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif’s Sooryavanshi is undoubtedly one of the most talked about films of Bollywood. Sadly the project had had hard luck when it comes to its release date. Makers initially wanted to release it on Eid 2020 but preponed it to March and changed the date again. Later the pandemic played a villain and the date was pushed, but it was reported that Sooryavanshi will arrive in theatres on Diwali. However, it didn’t materialize because of the situation of the country.

Well, according to latest buzz, makers will take a final call in June, that is, next month. In a report shared by Spotboye, a source was quoted saying, “The see-saw between a theatrical and digital release will finally end in June. Reliance Entertainment and Rohit Shetty have decided not to wait any longer. They will evaluate the Covid situation as soon as the lockdown is over and take a call.” The source went on to add, “If the situation permits, Sooryavanshi definitely goes into movie theatres. That’s where the whole team wants it to go.”

Last we heard, Sooryavanshi’s release date was indefinitely postponed shortly after the team announced a 30th April premiere. Helmed by Rohit Shetty, the cop drama boasts of killer action sequences, lots of entertainment and deadly cameos by Singham aka Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh as Simmba. Let’s just hope the situation gets better and we finally get to witness Akshay as Sooryavanshi soon!
