Sooryavanshi reactions: Fans dance in theatres watching Akshay Kumar's action drama, call it a 'paisa wasool entertainer'

Bollywood fans queue up outside theatres again as Akshay Kumar long awaited action entertainer brings cinemas back to life across the country. Released after 20 months of it initially planned release date, Sooryavanshi arrived in cinemas this Diwali and resulted in a lot of fan frenzy both in and outside theatres with housefull boards greeting the audience in quite a few places.

While the early reactions to this Rohit Shetty film look promising, videos from a few venues where Sooryavanshi was released have made their way online where fans can be seen dancing to drum beats outside theatres and another of fans dancing inside the theatres as the movie plays on the big screen in front of them.

The cinemas across the country have for the first time witnessed such celebrations since the Covid-19 pandemic struck the country and led to theatres getting shut down completely. Apart from a few sporadic releases here and there, most filmmakers have opted for a digital release during this period.

Sooryavanshi is the fourth film in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe which introduces Akshay Kumar as a cop after Ranvir Singha and Ajay Devng who have already delivered blockbusters with Singham and Simmba. The film also features the two stars in extended cameos and Katrina Kaif is the leading lady in the film.
