South Star Vijay Sethupathi Too Heavy For Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha? Dropped From The Film

The wait for Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha is only getting longer no thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic. The film which has been put off by an entire year due to the ongoing pandemic already has the fans enthused about seeing Aamir step into the shoes of Tom Hanks in this Indian adaptation of the Hollywood film Forrest Gump.

Things got more exciting when South star Vijay Sethupathi announced in 2019 that he will also be seen in the project in a pivotal role but in an alarming new development reveals that he may have been dropped from the film. A Mumbai Mirror report suggests that Mr. perfectionist Aamir Khan wasn’t too pleased when Vijay couldn’t shed a few extra kilos for his part and decided to drop the actor from the film entirely and shot those parts with actor Manav Vij.

While these are just reports, Vijay Sethupathi or Aamir Khan are yet to comment on it. Laal Singh Chadha will also see a cameo of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan who will reportedly don the avatars of their popular characters from the 90’s Raj and Prem.

The film which was initially planned as a December 2020 offering will now release in December 2021.
