Sridevi Had Asked Janhvi Kapoor To Reconsider Her Decision To Be An Actress, Wanted Her Kids To Live An Easy Life

Bollywood legend Sridevi’s absence in cinema is still glaring even two years after her demise. The actress would have turned 57 today and no doubt would have been incredibly proud of her daughter Janhvi who is now two films old in the industry, carrying on her legacy.

The late actress always expressed her love for her two daughters Janhvi and Khushi freely on social media and was also vocal about her apprehensions about them wants to pursue acting as a career like her. The actress who had hit peaks of stardom in her career and inspired several actresses we see in the industry today had once said that she’d rather have Janhvi get married and settled instead of taking up acting or be a doctor.

In 2012 the actress had told Times of India, "I don’t want her to become an actress. People have started presuming and even naming some hero’s son as her co-star and we had a big laugh about it. Mera bas chale toh I would get her married soon and settle her down."

Sridevi had seen the struggles one has to go through to survive in the industry and felt she had worked hard to give her kids the easy life. Janhvi in an interview had said that her mom had asked her to reconsider her decision of getting into movies.

In an interview with DNA before her debut with Dhadak Janhvi spoke about the time when she told her parents about her decision to be an actress, "I told my mom and she said, 'Please reconsider your decision'. She always felt that I am too naive. Mom and dad are very protective of me. They didn't think I was equipped to deal with the non-creative aspect of filmmaking. Mom wasn't too happy. She felt she had worked so hard to give her children an easy life."

Well, Janhvi Kapoor’s performance in Gunjan Saxena is winning hearts and we are sure seeing her cope with the ups and downs of being actress, Sridevi would has shed all her apprehensions.
