Sridevi Would Have Been Proud Of Janhvi, Says Boney Kapoor After Watching Roohi

Janhvi Kapoor’s second theatrical release Roohi has managed to win over not only the audiences but also other celebrities. Also starring Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma, the horror comedy hit theatres yesterday and received many positive reviews on social media. Also being called Stree’s ‘crazier sister’, Roohi follows the story of a girl who is possessed by a ghost who abducts brides on the night of their wedding. Janhvi’s versatile performance has been lauded and father Boney Kapoor feels her mother Sridevi would have been very proud of their daughter.

In a chat with Bollywood Hungama after watching the film, Boney shared, “Janhvi, Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma are a riot in Roohi. Janhvi is working so hard. She wants to get better with every film. Her mother would have been proud of her.” Sharing his review, he said, “It goes into the horror-comedy genre. It has genuinely scary and genuinely LOL moments. Audiences would either have a good laugh over the spooky content, or else, there are some whose faith in the supernatural would be strengthened.”

That’s not all! Boney is so proud of his daughter that he can’t wait to share the screen with her. He stated, “Rather than see someone else play Janhvi’s father I’d like to do the needful.” For the uninitiated, the filmmaker will soon make his acting debut with Luv Ranjan’s next, in which he plays Ranbir Kapoor’s on-screen father.
