SS Rajamouli Calls Alia Bhatt The Perfect Fit For RRR; Reveals The Film Will Not Have A Love Triangle

Alia Bhatt is currently one of the most popular, adored and sought-after actresses of the Hindi film industry. After winning hearts with her spectacular performances in films like Raazi and Gully Boy, the beauty is now all set to blow us away once again with SS Rajamouli’s much awaited project RRR. Also starring N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan and Olivia Morris, the period action drama film is reportedly a fictional story about freedom fighters Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem who fought against the British Raj and Nizam of Hyderabad.

In a chat with Spotboye, Rajamouli opened up about casting Alia and shared, “I needed an actress who can stand her ground between Tarak (NTR  Jr) and Charan (Ramcharan Teja) who are extremely talented actors. Alia is the perfect fit.” Talking about the rumors which stated that the actress will romance the two South superstars, the filmmaker cleared the air and said, “This is not a triangle love story. I wanted Alia because she can be innocent, vulnerable yet be extremely resilient.”

Shooting of the film was postponed indefinitely due to the pandemic but the team is now reworking dates. The filmmaker explained, “In large scale films it is very important that there is perfect balance between art and commerce. One cannot be sacrificed for the sake of the other. Yes It is also very good their star status helps the pan India appeal.” Well, we are sure RRR will be worth the wait!
