After blowing our minds with Baahubali : The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli is all set to leave us in awe once again with his next project, RRR . Starring South superstars NTR Jr and Ram Charan along with Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn , the period drama is one of the biggest and most awaited films of the Indian film industry. It was scheduled to hit theatres on 13th October this year and the exciting first looks of all characters had left fans intrigued.

Sadly, the film may not be able to meet the decided release date. A report shared by Spotboye has revealed that RRR has been postponed indefinitely. An actor from the team was quoted saying, “It’s not only the escalation in Covid cases and the casualties. Now one of the film’s leading men (NTR Jr) has tested positive. Prior to him Ram Charan tested positive. Alia who is yet to start shooting with Rajamouli, had also been tested positive for Covid.”

The report shared that a lot of shoot is still left and even if the COVID-19 situation improves, there is no way that Rajamouli will be able to complete the film and release it by October. When asked when it will finally premiere, the source stated, “Not before January 2022, and that is a conservative estimate. The delay can be much much more.”
